DR. ANTOINE ADAM IS A 2020 RECIPIENT OF THE PRESS GANEY SHINING STAR AWARD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NYC HEALTH + HOSPITALS FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION IN HELPING REDUCE PATIENT SUFFERING, AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY, SAFETY AND EXPERIENCE OF CARE.
Our approach is result-oriented, and involves a judicious mix of cognitive, humanistic and psychoanalytical techniques informed by our experience practicing and supervising in mental health agencies throughout the five boroughs, as well as international symposiums. Our clients have discovered that they can bring about changes in the here-and-now by building a therapeutic alliance and challenging their old ways of perceiving, thinking, feeling and behaving.

We will try to understand you and we will develop a treatment plan best suited to your needs. Our goal is to bring hope to our clients, and help them understand and cope better with the people and life situations associated with the onset of their symptoms. We are board-certified, residency- and- fellowship- trained, and licensed child, adolescent and adult psychiatrists who specialize in different forms of psychotherapy--cognitive behavioral (CBT), metacognitive (MCT), interpersonal (IPT), psychodynamic, and supportive therapy--in addition to psychopharmacology to augment psychotherapy only when the need arises. We can communicate effectively in Spanish, French and Portuguese, and even German, and enjoy a diverse, multicultural client base.
Currently, Dr. Antoine Adam is a clinical faculty appointee to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, as well as an attending inpatient psychiatrist at the North Central Bronx Hospital, and teaches 3rd year medical students as well as PsyD psychology intern during their clinical rotations. Dr. Adam has been consistently recognized by Vitals since 2013 with the Patients’ Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Award, and On-Time Doctor Award. He earned in 2020 the NCB Shining Star Award for promoting excellence in patient care.
